The only reason why I am giving a 4 star is because of one of the managers. She is always friendly and helpful. My rating would be a 2 if she wasn't there. The customer service is right above the 2 Super Wal-Mart's in Slidell at 11pm at night, horrible. I have had several experiences at this Best Buy that would give anyone reason to write a negative review. I am writing this review because of my latest visit. I was checking out at the main cash registers by the entrance and I saw a product on the wall, behind the registers, that I was searching for earlier. While I was shopping earlier, in the store, no employee that I spoke with knew what I was looking for so I gave up and decided to pay for the items I had. So to my excitement, I ask the person who was ringing up my items to please let me look at the item on the shelves behind him. He grabs the item and brings it back to the cash register. I go to reach for the item so I can take a closer look and he would not let me look at the item. I make a joke to my wife about how valuable these must be when I can't even read the packaging and the rep still doesn't let me check out what I am thinking about buying. Well since I couldn't look at the item up close I just decide to buy it and if I don't think I want it I will return it. Doesn't make sense to me. They would rather me buy the item and return it wasting everyone's time including an "elite rewards member" and their time also restocking the item. But what bothered me more was the reaction of the employee. He did not give me any explanation why I could not read the packaging. I guess Best Buy is trying to end up like Circuit City, Sears, JC Penny's, and Target of Slidell.

Love Best Buy, the employees are very friendly and willing to help. All employees are very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Best Buy to my friends and family.

Recieved $10 coupon in mail because ordered something online so I went today to get a cd with coupon. I go to check out & the cashier didn't know what she was doing because she kept repeating process but not working but then tried to say it was my fault, then it was out of date which clearly it wasn't I assume hoping I just walk away or just pay for it but why should I when I have a coupon so then my wife told her to get someone else like a manager which the very rude cashier did & the manager told her how to do it with NO PROBLEMS but according to the RUDE CASHIER it was apparently my fault it was working for her. By the way, it seemed like whatever high school this cashier went to gave her a diploma...if ya know what I mean

Typical Best Buy experience. The staff was helpful in finding what we were looking.

Went to buy a phone and the lady said that they do not price match anything in the store. Also , she said that Best Buy does not activate phones nor offer protection plans. When we got the manager , she said that the girl doesn’t even work in the section so she doesn’t have any knowledge on phones but they still allowed her to work in the section the full day. They let another guy in phones assist us and he was very helpful as always. I went back there the next day to purchase a game, we asked one worker if she could find someone to help us in the gaming department and she said “no not really” and walked off. There are a select few workers who are very helpful and generous, though. My family would always go to this store for years it’s been here but recently it’s just been terrible and we will now travel to Covington or New Orleans to get better service at another Best Buy. If this Best Buy gets better staff, it would be better.
